2axend’s Client Work in Education

A large public community college with a substantial Deaf and hard of hearing student and staff population identified gaps in cultural awareness and sensitivity among staff. 2axend partnered with the school’s DEI and Justice team to implement a comprehensive training program designed to equip staff with the tools to foster a more inclusive campus. By focusing on implicit bias, microaggressions, and effective communication strategies, the program helped foster a more respectful, understanding, and supportive campus climate for all individuals, particularly the Deaf and hard of hearing community.

A national non-profit organization supporting skill development for K-12 educational interpreters was seeking to provide professional development on enhancing outcomes and experiences for hard of hearing students. Our CEO facilitated a popular workshop called “Don't Be Mad if I Don't Look: Interpreting for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Students,” which received a perfect NPS score of 5.0/5.0 from all 66 participants who attended.
