Unprecedented Times. Proactive Preparation.
At 2axend, we’re committed to providing interpreters with the resources needed to make sure Deaf and hard of hearing consumers do not fall through the cracks during the coronavirus pandemic. We’re doing this by providing interactive workshops focused on interpreting during the pandemic and how interpreters can drive consumer-centric experiences.
As COVID-19 has exacerbated challenges Deaf and hard of hearing individuals face in healthcare and a variety of other settings, we updated one of our most popular workshops, “The Medical Interpreting Kaleidoscope: A Conversation on Perspectives," to ensure stories and discussions are relevant to the global pandemic we are facing.
Presented by Corey Axelrod, 2axend’s founder and CEO, this workshop is designed to equip interpreters with tools and strategies to effectively mitigate challenges posed by an inaccessible healthcare system. Corey touches on his own personal experiences of being a new father to twins that were born in the midst of the pandemic, as well as the experiences of others who were diagnosed with COVID-19 and/or faced multiple challenges during in-person and telehealth visits with healthcare professionals.
